Carl J. Tippit, CFA, is a Managing Director of Peppertree Partners and Chief Financial Officer of both Peppertree Partners and Peppertree Capital Management, Inc. Mr. Tippit joined Peppertree in 2000 after working in various executive positions for the past 20 years. Mr. Tippit previously was President and chief executive officer of Business Sound, Inc., a company he founded in 1990. Prior to Business Sound, Mr. Tippit spent three years as chief financial officer of a privately held biotech company and two years as a private equity investment officer for International Management Group (IMG) in Cleveland. Earlier, he was one of the pioneering lending officers that formed the Media Lending Group at Key Bank. Mr. Tippit was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1989. He holds a B.A. from Williams College and an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago.
